Jim Metz, Vice President of Safety, believes Safety is more and more vital to the success of our business every day. Jims’ focus is on building a world-class Safety Team that provides communication, innovation; and instills trust and safety for all Sylvan employees.
Sylvan’s Safety Team has reimaged safety communications to cover a wide range of topics to help all employees from new hires to the executive team understand and value the importance of a safety culture. The team is about to launch a new safety App that will streamline safety paperwork, create more accountability and provide a critical management tool for the Safety Team and the Project Managers.
Certifications
Jim has completed OSHA 500, 501 and 510 training. He is a Certified OSHA instructor. Jim is also preparing to become ASP certified with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals by year end, Certified trainer in First Aid and CPR by year-end, and is currently certified to perform First Aid and CPR.
Education
Jim has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia, PA.
